Is LUCA the same as ELLA?
Same iconic garment, different tone. LUCA and ELLA are both our signature 350gsm organic crewneck, cut to the same medium-fit unisex shape. ELLA is warm sand; LUCA is deep burgundy — a cooler, richer colour made for the colder months. If you love how ELLA wears, LUCA will feel identical on the body. Many people collect the pair and wear one per season.
What does "boyfriend fit" mean? Is it oversized?
LUCA is a medium-fit unisex cut, which wears relaxed and easy on a female frame — roomy through the body, soft, lived-in, like a borrowed jumper. It's not a dramatically oversized cut and it's not slim. Size up for a fuller look, or down for something closer to the body.
What size should I order?
Wear your usual size for the intended relaxed boyfriend silhouette. Size down for a closer fit, up for a more oversized look. Full flat measurements are in the size guide above. LUCA runs S–3XL.
Is it really unisex?
Yes — it's cut to one medium-fit unisex block and is designed to sit well on most bodies. The relaxed shape is why it reads as a boyfriend jumper on a smaller frame and a regular fit on a larger one.
What is it made from?
100% certified organic ring-spun combed cotton — no blends, no synthetics. A brushed, fabric-washed 350gsm fleece that's soft from the first wear and softens further over time.
Is it ethically made?
Yes. LUCA is made in a Fair Wear member factory and the blank is PETA-Approved Vegan. It's designed in the Byron Bay Hinterland. We make in limited Episodes rather than endless stock, so we produce less and waste less.
What's the emblem on the chest?
A soft tonal two-tone circle, dyed flush into the fabric rather than printed on top, so it sits within the cloth rather than sitting on it. The small Oldest Daughter · Byron Bay emblem sits below it. There's no branding across the back.
What does "limited Episode" mean?
We release garments in small numbered runs called Episodes rather than carrying open-ended stock. Once a size sells out, it doesn't return. If your size is available, we'd order it during the pre-sale.
How do I care for it?
Wash similar colours together, inside out, on a cold gentle cycle. Iron inside out and never directly on the emblem. Made to be worn often and kept for years.
Will the burgundy fade?
It's a fabric-washed organic cotton, so a gentle softening over time is normal and part of how the piece wears in. Washing cold and inside out keeps the colour deep for longer.
