WILLOW is the boxy organic-cotton crew for the days that ask a lot of you — soft, brushed and lived-in from the first wear, cut clean through the shoulder so it sits over everything. The one you pull on and don't take off.
Heavyweight-soft 300gsm brushed organic cotton in mocha, garment-washed before it reaches you, with the OD emblem printed large across the chest — tonal, quiet, the size of a thing you'd actually stand behind. Twenty-five made. Made the slow way, and not made again.

The OD Cut Guide
Cut relaxed and boxy — easy and square through the body with a soft dropped shoulder, and cropped so it sits at the top of the hip rather than over it. Heavyweight 300gsm brushed fleece, so it holds its shape rather than collapsing. Room for a layer underneath without going oversized. Same block as GAIL — take your usual size, or size down one for a neater crew.
Cut positions are relative to standard Australian women's sizing. WILLOW is cut on a women's block, not unisex.

We make small runs because we'd rather sell out than write off. Twenty-five of WILLOW exist — a handful per size. When they're gone we don't reprint; the next episode is already in the works, and the point of an episode is that it ends.
It's not a tactic. Overproduction is the single biggest problem in this industry, and the only honest way a small label avoids contributing to it is to make less than it thinks it can sell.

WILLOW is cut as a boxy medium fit — a clean, modern crew that sits at the top of the hip with an easy dropped shoulder. Not oversized, not fitted; the considered middle.
Same block as GAIL. If you own one, take the same size.

Worth knowing: the body is short. A size M is 59cm from shoulder to hem, so it sits at the top of the hip and works best over something high-waisted. If you want length as well as width, size up — the body grows 2cm per size.

WILLOW is boxy and cropped — the same block as WILLOW. A size M measures 63cm across the chest, about 126cm around, which is the standard room a sweatshirt needs to sit comfortably over a tee. It reads roomier than a fitted jumper but it is not oversized. The body is short, 59cm at M, sitting at the top of the hip, so it works best over something high-waisted. If you want length as well as width, size up one; the body grows 2cm per size. Sizes start at S.

Garment measurements, not body measurements — taken flat, point to point, in centimetres. The half chest is measured 2.5cm below the armhole. The fabric is garment washed, so minimal further shrinkage is expected.
The easiest way to find your size: take a jumper you already own and love the fit of, lay it flat, and compare it to the numbers above — check the body length as carefully as the chest, because WILLOW is short.
300gsm brushed organic ring-spun combed cotton — the mid-weight that does everything.
Organic ring-spun combed cotton is spun from longer, smoother fibres and combed to remove the short ones, so it sits softer against the skin and wears longer than standard cotton. Brushed on the inside for that broken-in softness, and garment-washed before it reaches you — so WILLOW arrives feeling like you've owned it for years.

Made to last — wash it like you mean it.

Washing inside out matters on this one. The emblem is printed tonal on a brushed surface, and cold water inside out is what stops the nap flattening across the print.
Caring for organic cotton properly is what makes it last for years, not seasons.

How does WILLOW fit?
It's a boxy medium fit — clean and modern, sitting at the top of the hip with a dropped shoulder. Wear your usual size, size down for neater, size up for relaxed or to wear it long.
How does it compare to GAIL?
Same block, same 300gsm brushed organic cotton, same boxy medium fit. WILLOW is the mocha, with the OD emblem printed large across the chest instead of small. If you own GAIL, take the same size.
How heavy is it?
300gsm brushed cotton — a true mid-weight. Warm and substantial, but easy to layer and wear across seasons; lighter than our 350gsm signature jumpers (ELLA, LUCA).
Why does it start at S?
We make small runs, and on our jumpers the smallest size has never moved — GAIL sold none at all. Rather than print a size that sits on the shelf, we put those units into the sizes people actually reach for.
Will it shrink?
It's garment-washed before it reaches you, so minimal further shrinkage is expected. Cold wash and line dry to protect both the fit and the fabric.
How many are there?
Twenty-five. That's the whole run — a handful per size.
Where is it made?
Designed and printed in the Byron Bay Hinterland. Woven, dyed and assembled in Bangladesh in a Fair Wear member factory, from GOTS-certified organic cotton, on OEKO-TEX Standard 100 tested fabric.
We named this label Oldest Daughter because the women who carry the most deserve clothes built to carry them back.
Every piece starts with one question: will this still be in your wardrobe in five years? Certified-organic fibres, Fair Wear member factories, small Episodes so nothing goes to waste.
It's slower. It's harder. It's the only way we know how to do this.
