ROJA is our extra-oversized boyfriend jersey tee in deep pomegranate, cut wide and easy with antique-white raglan shoulders and cuffs. Sport shape, nothing sporty about it. The roomiest thing you own, in the loudest colour you'll actually wear.
Roja means red. We made it for the ones who've spent a long time being described as reliable — and have decided that's not the whole story.
Cut on the same block as FLO, from 160gsm GOTS-certified organic combed cotton jersey — the mid-light weight that carries from summer into layering season. The OD script sits small across the chest. Nothing across the back.

Cut positions are relative to standard Australian women's sizing. Our pieces are unisex — if you usually wear men's sizing, size down one.

We make small runs because we'd rather sell out than write off. Twenty-five of ROJA exist. When they're gone, we don't reprint — the next episode is already in the works, and the point of an episode is that it ends.
It's not a tactic. Overproduction is the single biggest problem in this industry, and the only honest way a small label avoids contributing to it is to make less than it thinks it can sell.

ROJA is designed to be worn extra-oversized. If you want that wide, easy boyfriend line, buy your true size. If you'd prefer it less roomy, size down one.
Worth knowing: on this cut, most people land a size smaller than they expect. XS and S are our two biggest sizes on the extra-oversized block — it runs generous.

Measurements are point to point on the flat garment, in centimetres. They include a little extra length and width to allow for natural shrinkage, so ROJA stays comfortable after washing.
The easiest way to find your size: take a piece you already own and love the fit of, lay it flat, and compare it to the numbers above.

160gsm GOTS-certified organic combed cotton jersey — the mid-light weight that does everything. Combed cotton is spun from longer, smoother fibres, so it's softer against the skin and wears longer than standard cotton. Light enough for a Byron summer, easy enough to layer when it turns. The 2×1 rib at the neck and cuffs is what stops an oversized tee going shapeless at the edges.
We named this label Oldest Daughter because the women who carry the most deserve clothes built to carry them back. Every piece starts with one question: will this still be in your wardrobe in five years? Certified-organic fibres, considered construction, small runs, nothing wasted.

Is it true to size?
ROJA is cut extra-oversized, so it runs generous. If you want the full wide boyfriend line, take your usual size. If you'd rather it roomy but not swimming, size down one. Most people on this block end up a size smaller than they first reach for.
I'm between sizes — which way?
Down. Every time, on this cut. The extra room is built into the pattern, not into the sizing.
Is it unisex?
Yes. The size guide lists a recommended AU women's size against each, but the block is unisex and the fit is the same for everyone.
How oversized is "extra-oversized"?
Have a look at the flat measurements in the size guide — they're the garment laid flat, armpit to armpit. The easiest check: lay out a tee you already love, measure it the same way, and compare.
Will it shrink?
It's pre-shrunk, and the pattern is cut with a little extra length and width on top of that. Cold wash, inside out, line dry in the shade and it'll hold its shape. Hot water and a tumble dryer will shorten any cotton tee, including this one.
Is the cotton really organic?
Yes. ROJA is made from GOTS-certified organic combed cotton — GOTS is the Global Organic Textile Standard, the most widely recognised certification for organic fibre, covering the cotton from farm through to fabric.

When will my pre-sale order ship?
ROJA releases Friday 30 October 2026. Pre-sale orders are packed and posted from our Byron Bay Hinterland studio that week, in the order they came in. You'll get tracking as soon as it's on its way.
Can I return it?
Yes — 30 days, including pre-sale orders, from the day it arrives rather than the day you ordered. Unworn, tags on. If the size isn't right, tell us what happened; it's how we get the next run closer.
Will the print crack?
Not if you wash it inside out, cold, and keep it out of the dryer. The print sits on the surface of the fabric, so heat is what wears it, not washing.
How should I wash it?
Cold machine wash with similar colours, inside out. No bleach, no tumble dryer. Reshape and line dry in the shade. Cool iron if you must.
