Is TERRA unisex?
Yes. It's cut on our unisex raglan block. The AU sizes in the guide are given as a reference point because most of our customers size that way — if you usually wear men's sizing, size down one.
How does it compare to ALA and MILA?
Same 306 raglan block, same 160gsm fabric, same oversized fit, same raw hem. TERRA is the marshmallow version with red sleeves and the Earth Sister linocut. If you own either of them, take the same size.
Is the raw hem meant to look like that?
Yes. One row of stitching, then the cut edge of the jersey — single thickness, no fold, no overlock. It softens and curls a little with washing. It's a finish, not a fault.
What is a linocut?
A block of lino, carved by hand with a gouge, inked and pressed. Every white line in the artwork is a line that was physically cut away. The ink goes down unevenly — solid in places, broken and speckled in others — and we printed it exactly as it came off the block. No two garments in the run carry quite the same texture.
Is the print on the back too?
No. Chest only. Nothing across the back.
Will it shrink?
It's pre-shrunk, and the measurements already include a little extra length and width to allow for natural settling. Cold wash and line dry and it'll hold its fit.
Why is it so wide but not very long?
Because that's the line. Boxy and roomy through the body, cropped to the hip bone so it sits above a low waistband. If you want it longer, size up — you'll gain a couple of centimetres in length along with the width.
Will marshmallow show everything?Marshmallow is a soft off-white — warmer and more forgiving than an optic white, but it is still pale. Cold wash inside-out with like colours and it holds up.
Is it made in Australia?
The artwork is carved and printed in the Byron Bay hinterland. The cotton is grown, woven and assembled offshore under GOTS certification. We say it plainly because we'd rather be accurate than flattering.
Will you make more?
No. Episodes don't get reprinted. When this run is gone, it's gone.
