Cut regular — a proper shirt, tailored on a women's block. Point collar with a collar stand, front placket, forwarded shoulder, a box pleat at the back yoke for movement, set-in sleeves and a two-button cuff. Woven Oxford cotton, so it holds a line rather than draping. Take your usual size.

Cut positions are relative to standard Australian women's sizing. IDA is cut on a women's block, not unisex. It is woven rather than jersey, so it has no stretch — the fit is that of a classic shirt.

Size Guide

IDA is woven, not jersey — the only construction like it in our range, alongside LYLA. It has no stretch, so it fits differently to our tees: a size M measures 53cm across the chest, about 106cm around, which is the standard room a shirt needs to move in. It is not oversized. It is long — 68.5cm at M, sitting over the hip — and it is meant to be worn either buttoned and neat or open over a tee. Take your usual size.

AU sizes shown are standard Australian women's sizing, as a guide only. IDA is cut on a women's block, not unisex — it has a forwarded shoulder and a shaped body.

Garment measurements, not body measurements — taken flat, point to point, in centimetres. The fabric is garment washed, so it has already been through its shrink.

Where to measure from

The easiest way to find your size: take a button-up shirt you already own and love the fit of, lay it flat and buttoned, and compare it to the numbers above — check the sleeve as well as the chest.

Half chest: Measured flat across the garment from one underarm to the other, buttoned. Double it for the full circumference — a size M measures 53cm flat, about 106cm around.
Body length: From the high point of the shoulder, where the neck meets the shoulder, straight down to the bottom hem. IDA is long: 68.5cm at M, so it sits over the hip.
Sleeve length: Measured from the shoulder seam down the outside of the arm to the end of the buttoned cuff.

Is this shirt unisex?
It’s designed with a relaxed, easy fit that suits all genders. Use the size guide to choose your preferred drape.

Is the fabric see-through?
No. The oxford weave is structured and breathable, with solid coverage in oat.

Will it shrink?
Minimal shrinkage when cared for correctly. Follow the care instructions and avoid hot washes or high heat drying.

How does it feel on?
Crisp at first touch, then garment-washed for softness. It gets better with every wear.

Can I wear it open like an overshirt?
Yes. It’s perfect worn open over a tee or tank, or buttoned up for a cleaner look.

Is it actually organic?
Yes. Made from certified organic cotton.

Is it limited edition?
Yes. This is an Episode capsule release. Sizes are limited and we don’t restock once the capsule closes.

Oldest Daughter releases each piece as a limited Episode capsule (Ep. 26) to reduce overproduction and environmental impact.
